They seem only to exist now for tourists to selfie in and for hookers to ply their wares (asses, tits, poom-pooms all decorated with stars).
I love my city because... It is constantly changing and yet familiar. Anonymous but friendly. Residential, industrial and entertaining. Fast paced with sedate pockets. I love my city because I am a Londoner.
It's surprising how quickly cell phones became almost universal. I saw my very first one, in an affluent person's car, in 1989 or 1990. Within ten years everyone had them.
